Developed in association with the aged care industry JellyBean is a specialised CRM/App designed to track the lifestyle data of aged care residents.

We believe JellyBean is the first-of-a-kind care solution in that it focuses on the individual as an individual, not as a patient requiring medical care. JellyBean’s core function is to provide carers easy access to resident’s relevant lifestyle, personality and relationship information.

The profile data give carers the opportunity to quickly connect and develop relationships with residents as well as store non-medical data that is especially beneficial when used with dementia and alzheimer’s residents.

the why behind jellybean

Gary Smart (that’s me), has 8 years professional experience in Aged Care and care provision software systems. Individual Resident non-clinical needs are at best a sub-note in traditional clinical software, are focused on the management of medication, behaviours and logistics for ‘dealing’ with Residents. Together with industry colleagues, we thought that there’s got to be a better way, and JellyBean was born.

JellyBean is not a replacement for traditional care management systems. It’s a companion that that puts the individual Resident and their Life Story first.

At it’s heart, JellyBean helps staff and family capture a Resident’s Life Story. Having this history at hand in return helps staff in getting to know Residents as unique individuals.

Individual Interests & Preferences

JellyBean helps family and staff capture a Resident’s unique interests and preferences, thereby helping staff provide more personalised care and entertainment.

Common Interest Discovery

It’s no surprise that Residents share common interests. JellyBean helps identify areas of common interests among Residents and aids staff and volunteers in building the Resident Community.

Conversation Starters

Residents want (need!) engagement, and “How’s the weather today” is non-satisfying cliche conversation starter. JellyBean build’s upon a Resident’s Life History and Interests to provide an easily accessible list of conversation starter ideas that can be invaluable to all staff and volunteers.

Relationships

JellyBean captures relationships between Residents, Family and others. At a glance you can find out who went to school together, who worked at the same place, see a Resident’s family circle and a whole lot more.

Events & Anniversaries

You can record in BellyBean birthdays, anniversaries and other significant dates for Residents and non-residents.  For example, capture when a Resident first migrated to Australia, or when their children’s birthdays fall.

Groups

Create and manage social groups in JellyBean, maintain attendance and interest levels, collect feedback and get help in scheduling.
